• What is an escape room?
  It is a real life interactive game that will require your wits, curiosity and agility. You’ll be locked in a room with your friends, and will have 1 hour to solve puzzles and escape! Escape Room puzzles are not all that easy to solve, so come prepared for a moderate challenge. One head is good, but five heads are better. You will need communication, teamwork and critical thinking! Are you up for the challenge?
• How long does the adventure last?
  The Escape Room game itself is 60 minutes long. We expect you to check in at our front desk at least 15 minutes before your mission starts.
• I heard you guys have costumes to wear?
  We do! You’ll be locked in prison in an orange jumpsuit, saving the world in a lab coat, or escaping the hospital in a straitjacket! The costumes are not mandatory but they add to the immersion are a blast to take pictures with!
• Can I use my cell phone?
  To create a more genuine escape experience, we will not allow cell phones into the rooms. All cellular devices for a group will be kept in a secure spot outside of the rooms while you enjoy your escape.
• What happens if I arrive late?
  Unfortunately, if you arrive late you will not be allowed into the room. Once the door has closed, anyone outside will not be allowed into the room. Please make sure to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled start time.
• Are the games suitable for children?
  Children are welcome! However, the content is not suitable for children under the age of 8. Those under the age of 14 must have adult supervision.
• Can pregnant women play?
  Our main priority is the safety and well-being of our guests. We do not recommend this activity for pregnant women. Participation entails various levels of physical and emotional stress, and may trigger an adrenaline rush. Tripping, stumbling, or falling may occur. If you have any concerns please, consult your physician prior to participation.
• If the group is fewer than 5 people, can we still play?
  Absolutely! Remember that all bookings are private. A minimum of 2 players are needed for any adventure. However, the bigger the team, the better the chances of escaping!
• Are the adventures private?
  All adventures at Brain Drain Chicago are private. Groups can range from 2-5 people. You will not be paired with strangers.
• When should I arrive?
  Please arrive 15 before the starting scheduled time. This will give you enough time to use the restrooms, sign any waivers, and get briefed on the adventure!
• Can I add an extra person at the last minute?
  Please contact us at least 24 hours before your game start time if you have any changes in scheduling or attendance for your adventure.
• What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
  All sales are final. If you need to reschedule, please contact us at least 24 hours before your game start time. There will be no refunds.
• Can I take pictures?
  Pictures may only be taken in the lobby and by our social media wall. Any photography or recording of the rooms is prohibited. This is to ensure that you, the guest, can fully immerse yourself as well as keep an air of secrecy for future guests.
• Is alcohol allowed?
  Alcohol is prohibited on our premises and we highly discourage the attempting of escape rooms while under the influence. To ensure that you have an optimal experience, we ask that you abstain from the consumption of alcoholic beverages until your adventure has ended.
• What's your food policy?
  We will not allow any food or drink into the game rooms
• Can Brain Drain host my next corporate event?
  Absolutely! Please email us at chicago@braindrain.com for special offers and options for corporate events!
• What happens to latecomers?
  If you come late, you will face a closed door. The game starts exactly as scheduled and as booked. Please come at least 30 minutes early. After the door is closed, nobody outside of the room can join. And remember, THERE ARE NO REFUNDS.
